On September 20, 2024, the "fairground" on the cathedral square will open its doors at 11:00 a.m. and will be open to visitors for 17 days. Numerous fairground stalls will provide variety on the carousels and at the snack and candy stalls on the festival grounds. In the festival tent, you can enjoy a freshly tapped Paulaner Oktoberfest beer and Thuringian bratwurst from the charcoal grill, among other things. This year, a large Ferris wheel will also be on the cathedral square again. Wednesdays are family days with reduced prices. The Erfurt Oktoberfest 2024 will be officially opened on Friday, September 20 at 6:00 p.m. by the mayor in the festival tent with the traditional festival beer tapping.
